The Credential
Anyone can sell a course completion. The Veritas credential is built the way serious credentials are built: published standards, proctored testing, observed practical work, an ethics code that can cost you the credential, public verification, and an annual renewal that lapses in public if you skip it.
Five modules — Texas Notary Law & Ethics, Journal Mastery & Records, Fraud Prevention & Document Examination, the Business of Notary Work, and RON Operations — closed by proctored exams and a capstone. A miss is re-taught and re-tested.
Hospital & Bedside, Jail & Correctional, Apostille, and Estate Planning & Trusts — each with document labs, scenario labs including the refusal scenarios, and a field practicum signed off in stages: shadow, assisted, observed, solo.
Holders practice under the program ethics code. A credential can be suspended or revoked for misconduct — and the registry shows it.
Every credential carries a unique ID and a public page: holder, credential, endorsements, status, renewal date. Signing companies and title firms verify in seconds — that verifiability is the point of the credential.
From there, endorsements stack: each additional tier you complete is added to your registry page, in any order, in any combination — always on top of the Core Track.
Renewal is $79 a year: a short continuing-education unit plus a standards attestation. Renew and your listing stays live. Don't, and the registry shows lapsed — visible to anyone who checks. Holders in good standing are eligible for the Veritas Network bench.
A Veritas credential is a private professional credential issued by Veritas Notary LLC. It is not a notary commission, and it is not issued, approved, or required by the State of Texas. Notary commissions are granted solely by the Texas Secretary of State, and Texas law requires no training course to become a notary.
It does not replace your commission, authorize any act, or qualify you for work the law reserves to others. It makes no promise of income or assignments. What it does is prove — to anyone who checks, in a registry they can open — that you trained to a published standard, passed at that standard, and keep renewing at it.
